Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take insurance?

I don’t accept insurance at this time. However, I can provide a superbill, which is a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Every plan is different, so I recommend contacting your insurance provider to ask about your specific out-of-network mental health benefits and what documentation they require.

Do you offer in-person or virtual sessions?

At this time, I offer virtual sessions only for individuals located anywhere in the state of Texas. All sessions are held through a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform, allowing you to connect from the comfort and privacy of your own space.

What are your session fees?

My fee is $140 for a standard 50-minute individual session. I also offer a limited number of reduced-rate slots each week for clients seeking lower-cost counseling. These sessions provide the same 50-minute support at a mutually agreed-upon rate, depending on availability and need.

What can I expect during our first session?

Our first session is a chance for us to slow down, connect, and get to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what’s been feeling heavy or unclear, and what you’re hoping for in therapy. My goal is to help you feel seen, safe, and understood as we explore whether this space—and our work together—feels like the right fit.

What’s your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

I completely understand that life happens and schedules can shift. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact me by text, call, or email at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your appointment will be charged your full 50-minute session fee, as that time is set aside specifically for you.

What if I’ve never been to therapy before?

That’s completely okay — many people I work with are starting therapy for the first time. You don’t need to have the “right words” or know exactly where to begin. Our sessions will move at your pace, and I’ll guide you through the process so it feels safe, supportive, and collaborative. The goal isn’t perfection — it’s simply showing up as you are and beginning from there.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

A Good Faith Estimate gives you a clear idea of the expected cost of therapy so there are no surprises along the way. It’s part of the No Surprises Act, which helps you understand and plan for the financial side of your care. You’ll receive this estimate after our first session to outline what your ongoing investment in therapy may look like. It’s not a contract and doesn’t require you to continue therapy—it’s simply meant to keep things transparent and clear.

Do you offer free consultations?

Yes! I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to help us connect and see if working together feels like a good fit. You can fill out this form, and I’ll reach out within 48 hours to schedule your consultation. It’s a chance to ask questions, share what’s bringing you in, and get a feel for how therapy with me might look.

Still have questions? I’d love to connect. You can fill out the contact form to reach me directly or request a free 15-minute consultation
